This was my third time here in Jager and this time it was very good skiing even if we didn't ski it from it's very top(very crusty but possible to sideslip).

We joined two other skiers on our way up. Nicola and Franck, two very fit and good skiers from Grenoble. After our descent of Jager(about 09.30) they moved on to Tour Ronde and skied the Gervasutti couloir. The day after they had the Diable couloir on the schedule. And the day after...Aiguille Verte by the Whymper Couloir.(together with me and Kevin, see the next outing on the "skiing" section.)

On the way up. We started about 06.00 o'clock. The weather was really bad earlier in the morning. Almost snowstorm...Our plan was to start earlier but the weather stopt us.

The couloir is between 50-55 degrees,600m.

The hole route took us 3hours and 45min. It's relative easy to access these couloirs on the East face of Mont Blanc du Tacul. Either you sleep at Cosmiques or Aiguille du Midi, it's less then 10min to the start of the climb. Some skiers choose to take the first cabin(08.10 from Chamonix)but then you're quite late and the risks of falling stones and avalanches are more serious. .

You can see two skiers lower down on their way up to the bergschrund. They took the first cabin... It was totally six skiers/boarders today in the Jager Couloir. Later we saw two skiers climbing up the Gervasutti couloir. It was also skiing activity in the Diable couloir(two freinds actually).

A movie about our descent is under construction...
