2008/05/12 – Aiguille du Chardonnet, East Couloir photo01 (DSC07100.jpg Kb)
This couloir is quite isolated and not very often skied. Little bit shorter than the south couloir but more beautiful (my opinion). photo02 (DSC07121fix.jpg Kb)
We started about 06.00 o’clock from Cabanes des Plines. This hut is maybe the nicest hut in the whole Mont Blanc massif. The access from the hut to the couloir is not very long, 375 vertical meter, 1hour10min. photo03 (DSC07133fix.jpg Kb)
The climb up the couloir. The couloir itself is about 350 vertical meters hight. It took about 2 hours. photo04 (DSC07134fix.jpg Kb)
The weather was quite dramatic in a positive point of view. Not clear but not to cloudy either. Early in the morning we had snowy weather. Couple of centimeters of fresh snow!!! photo05 (DSC07143fix.jpg Kb)
The angle of the couloir is between 50°-55° degrees. photo06 (DSC07144fix.jpg Kb)
The snow was perfect! Couple centimeters of soften spring snow. photo07 (DSC07150fix.jpg Kb)

The Tour Glacier. From the Fenêtre du Tour you have 1890 vertical meters of glacier skiing. It was almost possible to ski the hole way down to le Tour. (Still lots of snow!) We walked about five minutes to get down to the village. photo13 (DSC07182fix.jpg Kb)
On our way to Montroc bus station…
