2006/05/03 - Aiguille Noir, North face

This face is so nice to ski and it's a very easy acces from the Vallé Blanche. From the summit you have about 800 vertical meters with an angle of 40-45 degrees. When we skied it this day we took another line much more skiers left than the red line shows.

Kalle traversing to the Aiguille Noir. He is one of the gourmet chefs at the Munchie Restaurant on the Rue du Moulin.

This is my neighbour Michael, a very talented telemarker. He lives one stair under me in Les Bossons.

We climbed wrong couloir at first!! (200 vertical meters). The right acces couloir was left to this one. The decent of the wrong couloir was anyway quite nice.

Frippe is a strong ski-mountaineerer. He was the first swedish who skied an 8000-meter peak. (Shisha Pangma, Tibet)

You get a splendid wiev from the Aiguille Noir.

The last push! If you don't take wrong way as we did, this is a pretty short ski-tour. About 400-500 vertical meters.

Michael with wide telemark turns about halfway down. From the summit down to the Montenvers train it's 1645 meters.
