2007/04/05 - Col du Tacul, Couloir Capucin CAMK8IZY.jpg (CAMK8IZY.jpg Kb)
The snow on the Capucin Glacier was cold and untracked. It was sunny and almost no wind at all. CAU0I3EH.jpg (CAU0I3EH.jpg Kb)
Before you climb up the 200 last meters in the West couloir it's about 750 vertical meters climbing with skins. CAUNCTQJ.jpg (CAUNCTQJ.jpg Kb)
We had to rappel 60m from the top. It was rocky and deep side-slipp tracks all the way... coldutacultobbe2.jpg (coldutacultobbe2.jpg Kb)
The route took us 5 hours and 45 min. IMG_0969.JPG (IMG_0969.JPG Kb)
Me and Jacob went to Col du Tacul and skied the North/North-East Couloir. A really nice skitour traverse.

It was lot of powder snow on our way up. Unfortunately it was not the same conditions in the Capucin couloir.

It's a nice viewpoint from the col. IMG_0990.JPG (IMG_0990.JPG Kb)
The angle of the couloir is 45 degrees except of the top section witch is 50-55 degrees. IMG_0991.JPG (IMG_0991.JPG Kb)
The Couloir starts left of the rocky spur in the middle. IMG_0995.JPG (IMG_0995.JPG Kb)
