2008/04/05 - Aiguille Mesure, East face

The East face of Aiguille Mesure. There is a couple of variant descents depending on snowcover.The line in the middle of the face need quite a lot of snow. More skiers right there is easier to find a way trought the rocks.

From the village of Buet there's about 1450 vertical meters to the summit.(1100m on skins, 350m steep climbing)

It took us 4h30min to climb from Buet. We stopped about 50m from summit(unskiable without a rappel).

The steepest section is about 55 degrees.

It was 20cm fresh powder on the face. Lower down in the bowl it was a lot more.
